10 yrs ago – a youth worker called Patrick Regan was asked to come into a school which was still reeling from a stabbing, to try and help staff and students make sense of what had happened. In 10 yrs XLP has grown into an organization which is working in 30 schools in 6 London boroughs. It continues to address these same issues. The recent “gunzdown” tour helps youth make wise choices, enabling them to avoid being the latest statistic. The XLP team runs assemblies, discusses what the bible says about life today, mentors and trains young people in life skills, making Jesus real to their lives. As All Saints has started working in local schools, partnerships on the ground have sprung up with XLP.
