The Epistles from TAGG to All Saints Church

Facebooktwitter

The Awesome God Group (or TAGG as we normally call it) is a home group for 10- to 11-year-olds meeting on a Monday night to play games, pray for each other, and get excited about the Bible.

We have recently finished doing an overview of the whole of Scripture. As we were studying the Epistles (the New Testament letters to you or me) we found them so challenging and encouraging that we decided to write our own.

Below is a selection of ‘the Epistles from TAGG to All Saints Church’. I have decided to leave them as they were written, avoiding the temptation to correct spelling, grammar, and to tweak the text’s meaning. I hope you find them as wonderful, challenging and encouraging as I did when I first collected them together.

Epistle 1: A Trinitarian Treatise

To All Saints Peckham, followers of Christ the Lord:
All of you, I write to tell you always be faithful; follow Christ in everyway you can. Always repent your sins, so you can become one with the Lord Jesus Christ. Do your best spread the news of Christ even if it’ll get you into trouble. Always rely in Christ; he will always be there for you, even when you doubt it. The Trinity will allways help you: for the Father, Christ and Holy Spirit are all one and will allways help you.

 Epistle 2: Sing Together

TAGG, servents of Christ Jesus,
To all holy people in Christ Jesus at All Saints Peckham together with the overseers and deacons.
At All Saints we have great worship sessions, you could barely improve them at all but I encourage you to sing different songs every week. Please try to get everyone to sing including toddlers and babies if they can do so. Whatever happens make sure you all stay with Christ till the end of your life as you go up to heaven.

Epistle 3: Be Grateful

To All Saints,
To all Gods people, be kind and caring to each other and love each other. Don’t boast don’t be rude and don’t disobey God for he has done so much for you. He turned to a human, he taught you and cared for you. He has even suffered death for you. He has made you pure and clean and forgiven you for your sins. He has resored you with pureness. So spead the word of God and don’t walk in darkness, walk in the light. He has done miracles for you. If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t know each other. So be greatful to him.

Epistle 4: May God be with You

To all gods people in All Saints church, may you be filled with the holy spirit. May God be with you youre whole life. Remember, you will always be forgiven for all your sins.
God came down to earth as a human and risked his life for all of you. All of you are in my heart and forever in my memory.
Continue to worship the way you do and forever trust in the father, the son and the holy spirit and think of them as one. You need to shine like stars in the night sky. Whatever happens you should always trust and pray to god. He will protect and comfort you through anything.

  1. Madelaine says:

That was so encouraging! To be reminded by a young person that I am forgiven, sets my mind free, and makes me happy. It’s vital to disciple the young. I hope, as you probably are, that you’re teaching them to reach out to one another; the stronger ones to reach out to those on the edge, the rebellious ones and the ones who don’t understand. No-one should be discounted, unless they tell you they want to discount themselves. All need prayer, as you know.
