Give to Go Green
A 6 week fundraising campaign with matched giving from the Church of England
We’re raising £20,000 to relight our church with energy efficient, greener lighting! This will brighten the spacesthroughout the winter months and evenings, cost us less to run and make the buildings more sustainable for the future. For every £1 donated the Church of England will match it so it becomes £2. Please help us reach our target!
Here at All Saints we want to steward well the resources God has given us and do our best to protect and not harm His beautiful world.
We’ve got 6 weeks (from 18/10/24 - 29/11/24) to raise £10,000 and have it doubled to £20,000!
This money will then be used to make our church greener and more efficient by replacing lighting fixtures and fittings in both the church and the church hall. Works have been estimated at around £10,000 for each space.
For every £1 we raise via the fundraising portal, the Church of England will match our donations. Anything we raise above the £10,000 can be used to support more green initiatives at All Saints.
Get Involved!
Household Challenge - Exchange petrol power for pedal power or Meat for Veggie!
Could you commit to walking or cycling some of your regular journeys throughout the 6 week period? If it costs about 50p per mile to run a car and then by substituting just 7 miles of driving, you’d save £20 over the 6 weeks. Donate that and it becomes £40! Or swapping your meat for vegetables could save you up to £10 a week. Donate the £60 saved and it becomes £120 when doubled!
Declutter & Donate Double!
Have an autumn clearout of clothes, books and unwanted items. Then use Ziffit for your books, CDs and games to get some cash and sell any clothes or household goods on Vinted. Do you think you and your household could get to £150 of items sold?! That would be £300 when donated to our green campaign and a lot of clutter given away to stop it going to landfill!
This little light of mine!
If sustainable living and environmental concerns are high on your radar and you’d like to substantially invest into this project would you consider covering the cost of replacing one of the church light fittings with a green alternative? A donation of £350 would be matched funded to give us £700 making a significant jump towards our target.
